Hermione was late, and that was enough to turn The Boy Who Lived into The Boy Who Paced Nervously.
“Where is she?” Harry muttered for the fifth time, taking yet another lap around the common room.
“She’s only 10 minutes late. Maybe she slept in,” Ron scolded.
“Hermione? Sleep in? That’s like saying maybe she forgot to do her homework. Maybe we should check on her.”
“Or maybe she is just getting ready, and will kick your arse for interrupting.”
Harry looked unconvinced. Exasperated, Ron threw up his hands in defeat. “Fine, go check on her. I’m going to breakfast.”
